Thanks to God, the Presentation Ceremony officiated by Rev Kam Po-wai on the afternoon of February 11 marked the successful completion of Thy Kingdom Come 2.0 - Online Charity Bidding of Pastoral Art Pieces, and the clerics and sisters had officially handed over their works to the successful bidders, the brothers and sisters in Lord.

As Rev Kam said in the opening prayer, many brothers and sisters in Lord have in this fundraising exercise showed the blessings that the Lord has given them and through various paintings and art forms expressed their relationship with God. Let us meet the Lord in the art pieces, feel the Lord's presence and let us love our church more and dedicate our service to the parish through various forms of charisms.

Ms Chu successfully bid for two oil paintings of Rev Kam and the wooden cross of Sister Wan. She said: "I bid for three works which are very meaningful to me. The first one is "The Lord is my Shepherd, there is nothing I shall want" (Psalm 23) by Rev Kam. As a Christian, this is our core belief. When people lack, they ask for more in prayer. For me, as long as I have peace from the Lord, nothing else matters. As for the cross, although we have nothing in lack of, as Christians we must take up our cross and follow Christ. Holding this cross in my hand, I hope to really have the strength to truly embrace this cross. As Rev Kam had drawn in his art, "Cast all your worries upon him, because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). I hope that I really have the ability and faith to walk my path of life."

Rev Benedict Lam thanked the 11 priests and sisters for donating 61 pieces of works including Chinese paintings and calligraphy, wood carvings, holy icon paintings, oil paintings, and pyrography, fully demonstrating the different talents that God has bestowed on them. Each piece of work contains fruits of faith and profound life experience and self-attainment philosophy. The exercise has raised over $800,000 in total. Rev Lam especially thanked the Cathedral for lending the venue for the exhibits and the Diocesan Audio-visual Centre for the execution and planning of the physical exhibition. He would also like to thank all the bidders who responded to God's grace and devoted their kindness and generosity to support the church building and development. Finally, he also thanked the merciful God for allowing us to work together to build the kingdom of God, so that the work started by God will be completed by God.
