A Spark to Create an Impact
Matching Donations by Ave Maria Garden in October

09 Nov 2020

In the month of the Holy Rosary, Ave Maria Garden – a Catholic charity organization registered in Hong Kong, supported the Diocese’s fund-raising initiative through matching of the first $65,000 donations by individuals in the same month. And for every Friday of the month, the Chairperson of the Commission Rev Benedict Lam and other members were invited to join their Rosary luncheon to share the vision and mission of the Commission, and prayed the Rosary together online.

“It has been our honor to help raise fund for the church building and development initiative of the Diocese, and the results, a 6-digit figure, are very encouraging indeed,” said Ms Jane Wong, co-founder of AMG.

“Above all, we hope more people would come to understand that support to our diocese does matter, because all people matter to God, and the building of churches is for all people. The more churches there are, the more life-changing stories there could possibly be,” added Ms Wong.

Ms Wong encouraged parishes and other entities to join hands to achieve the Diocesan fund-raising targets. “If we have the privilege and calling to exemplify this love to everyone, no matter how big or small is our donation, we are creating a spark that can become a powerful impact with the grace from God.”
