A Walk to Nurture Creation – 2025 Fund-raising Walkathon

Following the enthusiastic response to the 2023 walkathon, the Diocese is excited to continue this momentum with "A Walk to Nurture Creation – 2025 Fund-raising Walkathon" scheduled for 23 February 2025. This heartwarming event aims not only to raise funds for the construction of a new 1,000-seat church in Tung Chung and to support Catholic cemeteries but also to promote unity and reverence for all of God’s creation.

Event Highlights

In alignment with our mission, the event will be held in Tung Chung, featuring a thoughtfully designed trail that highlights the stunning beauty of Lantau Island. Participants can explore thematic exhibitions showcasing the island's rich heritage and visit Our Lady of Visitation Chapel and the new church site. This day promises to celebrate our faith and the vibrant ecology of Lantau Island, offering a variety of engaging experiences for everyone.

His Eminence Cardinal Stephen Chow, S.J. Bishop of Hong Kong will officiate the Kick-off Ceremony at the Start Point and will also lead a Blessing and Commissioning at the End Point.

New Online Donation Platform

This year, we are excited to introduce our new online donation platform, designed to make donations more convenient and minimize paper use. This platform features:

  • Fundraising pages for parishes
  • The ability for participants to create their own fundraising pages
  • Options to support our leaders

For those who prefer traditional methods, offline participation forms will still be available.

Get ready to lace up your shoes and join us for this heartwarming event that nurtures our faith and strengthens our support for the Diocese!
