Events - Rope Skipping for Health, Church Building for Manifestation of God’s Love 2022-07-25

Students from all Catholic schools are going to energize the Diocesan Fund-raising Commission for Church Building and Development in a Joint-school Rope Skipping Charity Rally from June 6 – July 1, 2022, and the highlight is the vibrant “725 Rope Skipping Fun Day” to be held in St Joseph’s Anglo-Chinese School on July 25. Students and parents from all Diocesan and Catholic schools are welcome to participate and support the event. Please also watch the online broadcast of the Rope Skipping Fun Day.

The Rally adds meaning by not only promoting the physical well-being via rope skipping but also contributing to the Diocese’s fund-raising for church building and development. The Commission is grateful to the Catholic Education Office and Hong Kong Catholic Diocesan Schools Council for organizing and coordinating this event and is pleased to receive the support from the Catholic Religious Schools Council and Caritas Hong Kong – Vocational Training & Education Service. The concerted effort will surely bring a brand-new experience to our students on how charity and sports can mutually benefit each other.

The Joint-school Rope Skipping Charity Rally in 2021 had had received overwhelming support from students and parents of 99 Catholic Diocesan schools. This year, the campaign has been extended to schools from the Diocese, the Catholic RCS, and the Caritas. The 2022 Rally is bound to reach a new peak! We look forward to students being able to acquire the basic techniques of rope skipping and promoting the sport to friends and relatives. We also hope they can experience the joy of giving and serving through the Diocese’s fund-raising exercise.
